Santa shenanigans

Cate just wasn't feeling the whole Santa visit, so we did what any good parents would naturally do...strapped her in and joined the picture. You win some, you lose some. Ben got to share all his wishes, and even told Santa what Cate wanted, too.

Monticello hike

What better way to pass the afternoon then a cool weather hike up to Monticello?

Ben and I were interviewed by the local CBS news crew about the passing of federal legislation, access to emergency epinephrine. It was a big afternoon! 

Boo y'all

We had a most excellent halloween, and hope you did too.  Cate took to the trick or treating like a natural, even dragging daddy up the steps to houses Ben decided to skip.  Red Riding Hood is a bold girl.

Ben enjoyed heading to houses with his neighbor friend (Princess Rapunzel) Elle.  First stop was a neighborhood pizza party, then onward to trick or treating.

'Lil Red liked the hood after we bribed her with a dum dum lollipop.I'm probably partial, but she was so adorable running around with her cape floating behind her.

And the most handsome construction guy showed up at the door, too.  I wonder if he wouldn't mind doing a few odd jobs and fix-ups around here.

Cate and I headed home to greet trick or treaters after she's had enough of the door-to-door drill.

Found this on my camera-- this was back from our pumpkin patch trip (they had a horse barn).  Cate kept "woofing" at the horses.
